Why a TeacherAmbassador Program Audit? 

Before jumping into a Teacher Ambassador Program we need to reflect on the ethics of these spaces. By ethics I mean, "is this program and your engagement within this program humanizing or dehumanizing education" (Marachi, 2023)? Humanizing education would mean that you as an individual and worker are fairly compensated and treated, and that you and your students' safety and best interests are prioritized. It is people over profit.  


This audit has been crafted to guide educators through the decision making process, allowing them to come to the conclusion on there own as to whether Teacher Ambassador Programs are spaces that truly benefit both them and their students. That they make education better.  


Lastly, I realize that sometimes the role of Teacher Ambassador is part of your job as an educator or leader within your school space. Thus, you may feel as though you have to be a part of these program spaces, and I just want to say, "knowledge is power." It is my hope that this audit provides educators with the language and information they need to justify their participation in or abstention from a Teacher Ambassador Program.
